ARRA Acoustics
My vocation as a luthier is guided by a desire to produce both classical and steel strung acoustic guitars that are a happy marriage of old and new design elements.
They should to be effortless to play and always sonorous in their sonic possibilities.
I’m currently in the process of designing both a classical and steel string acoustic guitar models.
They will echo each other in terms of playability, aesthetics, structure and functionality - connected by a deep acoustic analysis of the materials used and the internal bracing utilised.
I’m inspired by the work of of 52 Instruments Co. out of Montreal and, closer to home, Taran Guitars based in Fife.
I hope to explore and develop some elements of each maker’s designs into my own instruments in parallel to nurturing my own aesthetic sensibilities.
